This training course is designed to equip researchers and post-graduate students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to successfully publish their work in peer-reviewed journals. The course provides a comprehensive, step-by-step guide covering every stage of the publication process. Participants will begin by understanding the importance of publishing in English to reach a global audience and maximize the impact of their research. The training will then cover the essential components of a manuscript, detailing what should be included in the introduction, methods, results, and discussion sections. Participants will gain techniques for writing comprehensive literature reviews that provide context and background for their studies, as well as learn how to structure compelling discussions . They will also learn how to write abstracts that succinctly summarize their research while capturing the reader’s interest. Additionally, the course will provide guidance on selecting appropriate journals that align with their research focus and target audience, as well as writing cover letters that persuasively present the manuscript to journal editors. To ensure a smooth publication process, the course will outline the journey of a manuscript from submission to publication, highlighting common pitfalls and best practices. Participants will be provided with tips for responding constructively to reviewer comments and revising their manuscripts accordingly. The training course is meant to be interactive and practical. Participant engagement will be encouraged through illustrative examples and exercises, including pair work and group task.
